Overview
This nationwide project is intended to provide high speed broadband to regional, rural and remote Australia through the construction of a network of satellite ground stations.
Development
Each ground station will feature a single storey building at the centre of the facility which will house a vestibule, technical rooms, a store room, office room, staff lunch room and amenities. Antenna array will also be installed to each site along with internal sealed and unsealed roads around the site. Services will include permanent and emergency power supply, data, communication, inergen gas suppression system, hydraulics, air-conditioning, fire, security, and sewerage system.
Our Involvement
City Plan Services was engaged to provide BCA advice for various sites across Australia including Bourke, Broken Hill, Merimbula, Roma, Geeveston, Ceduna, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Waroona, and Carnarvon. We later provided building certification to the sites in NSW, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia during the construction phase of the project.
