The Annual NSW PIA Awards Dinner 2018 was held last night and saw 2 of our planning team receive recognition for their service and contribution to the planning profession.
Garry Fielding – elevated to Life Fellow.
Garry has over 40 years’ experience as an urban planner in private practice & at both State & local government levels. He is a former Executive Director with the NSW Department of Planning and the former Director of Planning at Newcastle, Woollahra & Maitland Councils. Working from our Newcastle office, Garry offers extensive experience & expertise in strategic & statutory planning, due diligence & strategic development advice, the management & assessment of major development proposals & expert evidence in Court matters.
Helen Deegan – elevated to Fellow.
Helen has over 30 years’ experience in strategic and urban planning with a background in development & property. She has worked specifically in planning and development management in private practice as well as large development focused businesses. She has been involved in a variety of planning related services and all types of land uses and development proposals. Working from Sydney, Helen’s proactive work approach and strong strategic thinking skills ensure valuable outcomes for her clients, in both the private and public sectors.
Recognition from the Planning Institute of Australia is a huge personal achievement, hard earned and thoroughly deserved. On a day-to-day basis, our team see the benefits of your experience, guidance and enthusiasm for the profession, and we would like to thank you both for your efforts.
