Trained as an architect & heritage consultant with over 40 years experience in heritage conservation & architecture both here and in the Turkish Republic, Kerime leads our Heritage team.  Working with a range of public & private sector clients she is actively involved in the development of sound conservation philosophy, practice & guidelines (nationally and internationally).

Kerime joined City Plan Heritage in 2001. In 2002, Kerime completed a Masters in Heritage Conservation at the University of Sydney. She is member of a number institutions and committees including the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA), Chamber of Architects (Turkey) and is the current General Secretary for ICIP and Past President of Australia ICOMOS, where she continues to build upon her knowledge of the Burra Charter principles & expertise on the application of these principles for the management of heritage places.

With demonstrated management skills on multi-disciplinary projects Kerime offers extensive experience and expertise in the research and preparation of:

• Heritage Impact Statements;

• Design and Heritage Advice;

• Heritage Assessments;

• Conservation Management documents;

• Interpretation Strategies;

• Supervision of Conservation Works;

• Preparation of schedule of conservation works;

• Long term maintenance plans and archival recordings, and

• Expert witness services at the Land and Environment Court of NSW

In addition, Kerime’s accreditation as an NMAS Mediator enables her to provide services to assist people and organisations experiencing disputes in a wide range of contexts and adds to the range of expertise at City Plan Heritage.
