Congratulations to Kerime Danis who has been elected to the Board of the ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Interpretation & Presentation of Cultural Heritage Sites (ICIP) as the Secretary General.
Kerime is the director of City Plan’s Heritage team and has previously held the positions of President, Australia ICOMOS. She is also currently a member of the NSW Heritage Council Approvals Committee and the NSW Heritage Council Infrastructure Sub-committee.
ICIP is one of the 28 International Scientific Committees of ICOMOS on various cultural heritage themes and issues, which act as ICOMOS technical bodies. The ICIP Committee aims to define the basic objectives and principles of site interpretation and presentation in relation to techniques and application of technologies, authenticity, intellectual integrity, social responsibility, and respect for cultural significance and context.
