We are proud to announce the following internal appointments:
Congratulations to Lucy Langley and Ashleigh Coombes who have been promoted to Associates in our Planning team.
Lucy is a qualified town planner (Master of Town Planning (MPlan) (2011) (University of Liverpool, England) and qualified lawyer (admitted in England and Wales 2015), with nearly 2 years experience in the NSW planning system and 4 years experience working in the UK planning legal profession.
Lucy has a broad range of experience across strategic and statutory planning and planning law and is skilled at interpreting and applying statutory instruments and strategic policy. Her experience includes strategy and policy formulation, preparation and also independent assessment of planning proposals, preparation of development applications across a range of industries, assisting with Land and Environment Court Matters, and was recently the lead planner on the Cumberland LEP review and DCP harmonisation.
Lucy’s technical strength is supported by her excellent project management and organisational skills which together with her legal background will assist with providing accurate and timely planning outcomes
Ashleigh has a broad understanding and extensive knowledge of planning from experience gained working in the private sector. Ashleigh has experience in both strategic and statutory planning and is well versed in the NSW legislative framework. Ashleigh is involved in a range of projects across all types of development, including development applications, research-led planning proposals, planning approval pathway advice and due diligence reports/ planning investigations. Ashleigh is solution-orientated in her approach to planning and seeks to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients. She has a passion for creating enjoyable urban environments and facilitating mutually beneficial outcomes for both our clients and the inhabitants of our urban and regional places.
Congratulations also to Chloe Boyd (planning) and Kyrillos Ghaly (building) who, after completing their studies, have been promoted to Project Planner and Building Regulations Consultant within their teams.
Chloe has recently completed the Bachelor of City Planning (Honours) at the University of New South Wales. Through her involvement in a variety of projects within metropolitan and regional NSW, Chloe is continually developing her planning skills and knowledge with regard to strategic and statutory planning. Chloe is an enthusiastic young planner who looks forward to continuing her studies and expanding her knowledge of the planning system.
Working alongside our Registered Building Surveyors, Kyrillos has gained experience in the private sector across a diverse range of building certification and compliance matters for all classes of building developments. He is able to conduct critical stage inspections and work with clients and consultants throughout the construction process, ensuring the best outcomes are achieved.
Lucy, Ashleigh, Chloe and Kyrillos are integral members of our Sydney office, and their promotion recognises we value the hard work and skills they bring to the team.
