With over 35 years’ experience at senior levels in both Local Government & the private sector, Dean is a building regulations consultant who offers extensive experience & expertise in building regulations, certification & compliance matters across all classes of building developments. Based in our Gold Coast office Dean is familiar with the legislative requirements for both Queensland and New South Wales.

Dean has been responsible for the workflow management of various functions within Council to ensure smooth project management and delivery of over 800 development applications, 300 construction certificates and the technical problem solving associated with the completion of over 2500 building inspections annually by the Building Surveying Team. This high-level assessment experience is invaluable when navigating the complex approval systems and requirements in both Queensland and New South Wales.

His experience has also enabled him to participate and provide advice to the State Government on several working groups in relation to building and development standards. He also has considerable experience in Fire safety and the assessment of existing buildings where upgrade work is required.

Dean is a skilled communicator with considerable experience in negotiating and problem solving across multi-disciplinary project teams. Dean has a customer service focus and continually works to ensure his projects are completed to the satisfaction of his clients.
