Congratulations to our Heritage team – announced as the winner of the Adaptive Reuse category at today’s National Trust 2019 Heritage Awards.

The winning project was the Fenwick Stone building located at 2-4 Weston Street in East Balmain, which was built c1880s as a boat store and used for the same purpose for much of the 20th century.

City Plan was involved at the site from late 2014, working with Welsh and Major Architects (for Leichhardt Council) on the initial design stages through to the completion of construction works.

The building is currently undergoing refurbishment works to use the space as a café and gallery operated by Sydney Restaurant Group.
