City Plan Urban Design provides specialist skills in strategic urban design, including preparing locality and structure plans as well as site specific master plans and SEPP65 reports. The Urban Design team is led by Paul Walter, who has a strong background in master planning mixed use development and transport infrastructure design. A special interest lies in the way people interpret and respond to the built environment.

Master Plans are increasingly a requirement of statutory planning controls as well as playing a vital role in understanding a site's potential. Our work typically includes the analysis of land use, accessibility, streetscape and public domain to guide progressive development. We work with stakeholders to map out a visionary goal for site development. City Plan Urban Design and City Plan Services offer a combined service as part of a total design team developing solutions that respond effectively to the planning context. We are also experienced in facilitating community involvement in the planning and development process. These factors combine to produce very practical and well-balanced urban design.
