BOURKE ST PUBLIC SCHOOL
Education – Crown Development Application
Client: Department of Education & Communities
Cost: $7.3 Million
Status: Approved (2015)
The Department of Education and Communities plan to expand & redevelop Bourke Street Public School to ensure there is sufficient capacity in the public education system to accommodate the growth of Sydney’s inner city suburbs.
The project involves the construction of a new two storey building adjacent to the school’s existing heritage buildings, which will also be refurbished as part of the development. This project will allow the school to accommodate approximately 440 students.
City Plan Strategy & Development were engaged to provide extensive planning advice and the preparation of a Statement of Environmental Effects to accompany a Crown Development Application to the City of Sydney Council.
